Protect Yourself At All Times

In mixed martial arts you are forewarned to "Protect yourself at all times" before any sanctioned fight.
Your space is sacred and when you don't protect it you do yourself a disservice. You set the wrong tone. It's almost you saying that you yield to everyone and everything and believe me when I say that once you've done that it's a dangerously long road back to a life that belongs to you.
I used to be nice. A people pleaser. I'd throw myself on the sword for people who NEVER deserved to know that type of kindness and genuine love. I fully believe that I'm still nice, but with a twist. I don't give out immediate respect, I ask people to apologize frequently, I demand that they respect me, and overall I want nothing to do with them if any of those asks sound "High Maintenance."
A turning point in my life was feeling so stressed out not only at work but in my personal life. People can only be good for you if they enhance how you feel day to day. Being torn down, played with, manipulated, lied to, and switched and baited never helped - I felt worn down so quickly that most days I had chronic headaches and I willed that no one would speak to me most days. Even conversing felt like a great deal of work. It was like sensory overload.
If I didn't find reprieve soon I was going to begin to lose my mind.
So what helped?
Natural vitamins and hypnosis.
Our standard over the counter vitamins are filled with so many ingredients that I can't pronounce and I've come to find out are filler and don't provide any supplemental value *cough cough* Hydrogenated Oils.... so I threw out my one a days and I've opted for something more... Millennial researched and god dare I say it, not FDA approved.
Love Wellness has been my answer to so much. In six weeks my energy, mood, and skin and has drastically changed for the better. Who knew the girl who grew up on Laguna Beach on MTV could do so much for feminine care and health.
I also needed to detach my mind from daily pain and what 10 months of trauma. A very special old pal suggested hypnosis and I laughed right up until the moment it worked. I spent the first 10 minutes following instructions thinking it would never work and that's the last part I truly remember. It's like all the stereotypical nonsense you hear. You wake up and feel like you've slept for 100 years. It's amazing. it's revitalizing.
I'm wide awake.
